I was always that cook that 'eyeballed' it.
BUT, three months ago, I became fed up with how I looked and decided I needed to take action and make some big changes. My awesome Mom gifted me three months of Weight Watchers Online and I ran with it! To date, I have lost 26.4 pounds and I am NOT hungry!!! I can absolutely do this for a lifetime!
Anyways, back to the measuring cup/spoon project!
My measuring cups and spoons were all over the place as they hardly were used and were always in the way. So, when I came across this pin, I thought, "Ohhh! What a great idea!"
Here is my much less cool but just as functional take:
Notice the split in the wood on the bottom right? Sigh... I didn't have any more pieces to replace it so I just stuck another screw in, split it some more and called it a day. (Please remember the title of this blog here)
I do plan on replacing it someday but for now, it is defiantly functional and no one sees it but me as it is inside the cabinet.
Then there is the measuring spoon issue - I had these little black spoons abut it was really hard to read the measurements on them, as it was labeled in black too.
(why do they do that?!) So I purchased the ones in the picture at The Christmas Tree Shops but the labels are slowly wearing off and I've only had them a few months. (No, I don't use them THAT much!) So I am on the hunt for a new set - any suggestions? They must be plastic as metal ones clang against the door when it's opened and closed and the noise is a bit annoying.
Here is the original pin from Infarrantly Creative which is an amazing site loaded with fun, interesting and useful ideas and information! Thanks Beckie! My rendition doesn't do yours any justice but thank you sooo much for the inspiration!!!
