The Tree

One of my first projects was the tree I created for my 2 year old's bedroom wall.

The Finished Tree

Many owls have come to live in our tree.

The Leaves are cut from scrapbook paper and I used Mod Podge to adhere them.
(Which I did not know existed until PINTEREST!!)

Before the critters came to stay

The inspiration for the tree came from the following pins:

A white tree with shelves
Tree over crib
Chalkboard wall and tree

Unfortunately, I don't know who originally painted it and posted it as it has no link... if anyone knows who did this tree, please contact me as I would LOVE to thank them and give them credit for it!


And here are the curtains that I was inspired to sew! To match the room:

The horizontal/vertical difference in the fabric was originally an 'oops!'
but I love how it came out - very vintage, post-card-ish.
Which matches well with the leaves on the tree which were cut from vintage-ish scrapbook paper.
